Who We Are
Established in 2025, United for Development (UD) is a
Gambian development organisation working with communities, government
institutions, civil society and international partners to improve livelihoods
and create lasting change. Its work focuses on strengthening food systems,
expanding access to essential services and helping communities build resilience
for a more sustainable future.
Building on a rich legacy of development work in The
Gambia, Our experience has taught us that development is not something that can
simply be delivered to people. It works best when communities have a voice in
the decisions that affect them, when local knowledge is valued, and when people
have the skills and resources to take solutions forward themselves.
That is why we work closely with communities, government
institutions, civil society organisations, development partners, and other
stakeholders.
